Who are the Riverhounds?

The Riverhounds are a semi-Pro soccer team that is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They have been together since 1999, their current home stadium is located in Station Square called Highmark Stadium. This past year Allegheny Health Network just sponsored a state-of-the-art Indoor Sports Arena in the Bethel Park area.

The facility is called "Cool Springs". Inside includes a full size soccer field with 3 separate training PODS, 2 NCAA regulation size basketball courts, brand new state-of-the-art fitness center, and many conference areas. Outside consists of 2 story fully turfed driving range, 18 hole miniature golf course, a state-of-the-art golf simulator, and a sports bar and grille.

My First experience with the Hounds!

I remember my first time ever stepping foot at Highmark, it was during a try out in the summer of 2014. Before this I always dreamed about playing there because of the city in the horizon, it was right on the water, and it was a professional stadium. After the long process of trying out, I made the team and would practice there 4 times a week and get the best training of my life. Many of the coaches are foreign and have played at a very high level of soccer so I knew the training would be world class.

After a few weeks of training I knew I belonged there and didn't want to be anywhere else. Before try outs they already picked their team to go to Regionals. So the week before Regionals, they personally invited me to go to Regionals to play with them. I was very shocked because they said they weren't bringing any more players. After this I got a big confidence boost because I knew that the coaches believed in me and I quickly earned my way into the starting line-up in the second game of Regionals. Being on the Hounds I have had many college coaches looks and now I know I have the ability to play anywhere in the country.
